Born in the wilderness of Western Australia’s Margaret River region, Tess has identified as somewhat of an eco-warrior from childhood. The older she gets, however, and the more she learns; the deeper the call to nurture the planet becomes. Travel is a non-negotiable in her life and it has always been her dream to continue exploring the world, something that is so core to her existence, in a way that is also regenerative to the planet. Cue WRD! Tess has been a crucial member of the team since 2004, when she joined the company as a Sales Executive fresh out of university with a Bachelor of Communications and dreams of becoming a travel journalist. Today, she is the sole owner and CEO of the business that has not only defined her career but has also allowed her to pursue her single greatest passion – championing environmental awareness.

Born in Fiji and hailing from a huge aviation family, Narelle spent her childhood listening to tales of travel and exploring the world on discounted staff travel. Her appetite for visiting new places grew into a deep appreciation for the people who make this experience memorable and sparked a dream to work with tourism bodies. A big believer in creating your own destiny, she set out on her own path to study a Bachelor of Business majoring in Tourism Management, a Diploma in Marketing & Product Development and a Diploma in Tourism Operations systems. Narelle’s career spans multiple facets of the travel industry and is characterised by her innate respect for the South Pacific and desire to promote it as an unforgettable travel destination. Her motivation is encouraging purposeful travel; connecting people and experiences, prompting better understanding, acceptance and cultural assimilation.
PR & Brand Manager
Annie’s passion for travelling was sparked at a young age when her parents plucked her out of school to go caravanning around Australia and she learned an important lesson that she still holds true today – there is no experience more enlightening, inspiring or humbling than travel. Annie’s career has been shaped not only by her infatuation with wayfaring but also by her affinity for words. She holds a dual degree in journalism and communications and her experience spans more than a decade working for some of the world’s leading hospitality companies and publications across her specialty fields – PR, copywriting, editing, corporate communications and branding. As the custodian of the WRD brand, she is responsible for elevating the company and our portfolio of world-class resorts.

Nina is a born and bred Gold Coast local, with a mind that wanders and a heart that yearns for more. Sparked by travels throughout her life – from running around barefoot and carefree as a child on camping trips, to backpacking for three months throughout Europe, and living in the winter wonderland of Whistler, Canada – she has an unquenchable thirst for travelling the world and preserving its beauty for future generations by leaving only footprints. With a Degree in Communications and over 10 years’ experience in the fashion and travel industry, her skills include developing integrated marketing strategies, executing PR and sales activities, social media management, content creation and campaign planning and execution. In her dream role of Resort Marketing Manager, Nina is responsible for curating our luxury clients’ suite of personalised services including the execution of all marketing, social media, sales, branding and publicity strategies and tasks.

Originally from London, Lottie joined the WRD team as a Resort Marketing Manager, a passionate traveller and a dedicated digital marketing expert. She is equipped with a Bachelor of International Tourism Management & Business Management and a Diploma of Digital and Direct Marketing, and her experience spans the media and travel industry, including the role of Sales & Marketing Manager at Escape Havens. Lottie has just returned to us from Maternity Leave, so splits her time between #mumlife and focusing on our groups & corporates market.
Sales & Marketing Manager - North America
With more than 20 years’ experience in tourism marketing and management, Luke is a specialist in destination development through the implementation of effective sales and marketing programs. Luke has spent the last decade based in North America, building Tourism Australia’s industry-recognised distribution partnerships. His experience covers the full spectrum of tourism management and marketing, from consumer communications, distribution development, MICE, and partnership building with Government and commercial sector interests.
